FS: Mk1 "Project Carbon" (current PVW cover car)

I’ve been holding off doing this for a while, but work and other project commitments mean it’s time to sell.

Full details and specifications can be discussed in person, but the car probably needs little introduction:

    - Current PVW cover car (and in line for 2012 Car of the Year): instant recognition that this is one of the finest modified Golfs in the world
    - Full inside-out restoration. Everything is brand new; this is not a respray with a few new parts being palmed off as a resto.
    - Over $80k invested
    - Insured value of $84k
    - All parts are the finest quality and sourced from specialist outlets globally
    - Custom K-Tech carbon fibre parts throughout
    - Covered but a few thousand kms and never driven in rain
    - Built, owned, maintained and respected by automotive industry executive with genuine reasons for sale

Offers in the high $20k range will be considered, with some room for negotiation and subject to specs when sold. Please don't clog my thread with useless banter.

Finally, I mean this in the nicest way possible, but don’t waste my time if you don’t have any money. Serious buyers will call me on 0407 926 151 or email [email protected]

Any number of additional pics available upon request.

P.S. Following a couple of questions already, I should add that the car is utterly immaculate and requires nothing to be spent.

It has brand new, high-end tyres all 'round and is maintained to the finest degree in every instance.

    Stu:

There is no mention of the engine specifications and type and suspension details Appreciate if you can post interior pictures as well. Does it have engineering certification for all the modifications? Are you still based in TAS?

    Fine specimen.

I asked about interior pics, it's basically stripped out with roll cage and 2 front seats, shame really as it makes it even more niche. It would be much more attractive if it was more livable. Why build such a nice looking classic if u can't drive it regularly.
Getting in and out would be a nightmare with that cage

Its pretty much a semi sort of look race car, as Stuart said it is pretty much set up as a hill climb car and to be able to put semi slicks on was what he wanted to get out of this MK1.

You're a car enthusiast? Really? Watch the video and learn what it's all about, mate. You don't build Mk1s for luxury The cage is perfectly liveable, was built by Bond Roll Bars, and has CAMS approval. You can't ask for much more.
